Lee Cambra comes from a family of builders, contractors, carpenters, sheet metal workers, iron workers, and custom and modular home builders. He started his career in real estate sales, land acquisition, land development and home construction in 1968.

He founded his own homebuilding firm in the early 1980's. In 1983, he helped Hal Porter Homes transition from Santa Cruz to Brentwood, and assisted in the acquisition of their first two subdivisions. Later, Mr. Cambra was a land acquisition specialist for major development firms such as KB Home, Toll Brothers and Seeno Construction.

Most recently, from 1999 to 2007, he headed the land acquisition activities for O'Brien Homes, a highly-respected privately-owned homebuilding company, where he was responsible for identifying target markets, locating and acquiring prime real estate within those markets, negotiating the purchase of the properties, conceptual land planning, feasibility studies, due diligence, market research, and preliminary outreach to cities and neighborhood groups.

During his tenure with O'Brien Homes, Mr. Cambra acquired more than 750 residential lots in nine communities, representing in excess of $500 million in retail home sales. In addition, he has been a successful high school basketball coach for 29 years, and has coached traveling teams that competed successfully internationally.
